This warming feeling

Standing beside myself the soul get's dragged away
I can see my body as unknown forces carry me astray
Uncontrolled ascension pulls me to the sky
Myriads of scattered stars glow like embers in the night
Now I fly no need for wings or feathers
Floating without weight reborn in the sky
Passing purple clouds luminous formations
Towards the light no Icarus I am
Cold illumination from celestial bodies
Displacing the grip of my darkened past
Streaks of light enlighten the void
Distant planets look like fireflies
Innumerable specs comprise this solitude
Uncounted thoughts reverberate in silence
Travelling through galaxies buried in oblivion
No concept of space nor time imprisons my mind
Relieved from sorrows relieved from pain
Yesterday now dead and gone is there more to gain
Now I see clear
My mind open like the sky
Here each second is eternal bliss
I can't feel fear nor crippling loneliness
No one to love is no one to lose
I never felt so free
A slave's past about to be forgotten
Useless like chains after they got broken
Completely enthralled by imagination
This vast space ready to be explored
Neither walls or fences could keep me back
No more obstacles on my trip
In search for a way in search for an answer
I keep looking through my mind's eye
Diving deep into the inner self
An unconscious decision is being made
I never want to leave this gleeful state
But if you stay too long the cracks begin to show
On the way forward a lot get's left behind
What the future holds no one can know

To the oncoming storm

Nocturnal Escape Germany
